27 Apr Relentless Commitment
Hey! Welcome back! I hope you had a great weekend. It’s been really busy here and it felt like the weekend flew by. It’s amazing how quick the time can pass when you’re having fun. Even though things have been hectic, I’ve managed to be productive and work on my business everyday. It’s mentally taxing at times, and occasionally I just want to lay down and cease all thoughts of development and success. But, I won’t allow myself to quit. When things are tough, and I feel like I’ve given everything I have to give, that’s when it’s time to give a little more.
I had several moments today when I began to doubt myself. Perhaps it was fatigue, or maybe even fear or both. Regardless, I acknowledged those thoughts and quickly reminded myself that feelings of doubt and fear let me know I am moving in the right direction. I know what I want, and I know whats necessary to accomplish my goals. I know who I am and what I am capable of doing. I remind myself that I can no longer accept mediocrity and turning back is not an option.
In the beginning, the smallest challenges appear as insurmountable obstacles. But when we commit, and take challenges head on, we can quickly work through the obstacles and avoid any significant setbacks. I like to refer to a phrase I came across in the book Take The Stairs by Rory Vaden “the cost of missing out is more than the cost of messing up”. This phrase resonates deep inside me and I often say it out loud when thoughts of doubt and fear begin to surface. I remind myself that failure is inevitable, and a critical part of learning. Couple that philosophy with the idea that “a person who does nothing, can make no mistakes” and you certainly have the recipe for success.

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
This quote by Zig Ziglar is another powerful weapon against complacency, fear, and doubt. If you are hesitant to start something new, just remember that failure is inevitable but costs less than the results of doing nothing. If you’ve been talking about making change, now is the time to commit. Set your focus on your goals and let your passion guide you with confidence. Don’t allow negativity and the naysayers to discourage you. Once you’ve established that you aren’t turning back, and that you are here to stay, they will have no other choice than to move on. When things get tough, lean on people like Rory Vaden and Tony Robbins to support you and get you back on track.
Going forward, keep your sights set on your goals and get creative to meet and exceed those goals. We are all powerful people, and we can do anything which we are relentlessly committed.
