Motivation Monday

Motivation Monday

Welcome back to The Journeyman Entrepreneur blog! Thanks for your continued support! I’m really excited to be here and bring you another round of Motivation Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. But now it’s time to buckle down, refocus our attention back to our goals, and dominate the day! Over the weekend, I had some time relax and enjoy the company of my family. But I never took my foot off the accelerator. My focus and determination fuel me to succeed when I’m tired, feeling complacent, and when I want to take the night off. By ignoring those feelings and pushing forward in spite of their intent to hold me down, my confidence soars and I usually end up finishing my tasks soon after. Consistency is the key. When negative thoughts and emotions arise, immediately shift your focus back to your passion and determination to succeed. Our “self talk” is crucial if we wish to break free from the constraints of negativity and doubt.

Motivation Monday

Say it with me, “I observe my thoughts and entertain only those that empower me”. Place your hand on your heart and say it aloud, “I observe my thoughts and entertain only those that empower me”. This week, let’s take massive action to defeat negativity and increase our self-worth. Add this quote to your twice daily affirmations and recite it when your thoughts attempt to steer you back into the crowd. Throughout our journey of personal development and entrepreneurship, we have to reshape and train our mind by affirming our desire to succeed. It’s imperative that we practice instituting new and encouraging ways of thinking that will lead to our happiness and success. We have to release our non supportive experiences and nurture a heightened state of mind that will cultivate a new and rich future. Each of us carry a mental blueprint that was given to us as a child. Now, as adults, we must accept the plans we were given and identify if the design was to build us up, or crumble in the storms of negativity.

Once we’ve accepted that our blueprint may not have been designed to support us, we can assume the role of architect and begin remodeling at once! It’s going to take some time and a lot of effort, but the renovation of your thoughts will allow you to stand proudly on the foundations of confidence. It’s also important to surround yourself with other architects that have similar goals of transforming their minds to achieve their dreams. There’s a well known saying by Jim Rohn that I like to remind myself of, “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. If we constantly surround ourselves with negativity, we can expect to yield negative results and remain oppressed by our thoughts and doubts. I challenge you to change your information inputs at the least, and start listening to the words of those who aim to inspire you.
