28 Apr Thursday’s Thought of the Day
Hey! Welcome back! If you’re joining me for the first time, thanks for stopping by. This week is nearly finished and the weekend is just around the corner. I hope you’ve had an awesome week and I’m confident that you will finish strong.
As you may have already noticed, I have decided to give Thursdays the theme of “Thought of the Day”. Going forward, on Thursdays, I want to bring you a high impact thought, idea, or quote that will help launch you into Friday and add fuel to your fire throughout the weekend. I believe for most people, myself included, this time of the week can be the turning point. We either stay true to our passion and goals, or we give in to external pressures and revert back to our original habits and tendencies. The latter is obviously not ideal, and can be an indication that our commitment is faltering. Remember, we can overcome anything we commit to whole heartedly. But we can’t be half in.
“All in. All the time.”
Being “all in” is fundamentally the same for everyone. Whatever it is you’re pursuing, the only way to get there is by giving it everything you have, 100% of the time.
Earlier today, I was thinking about my choice to remain sober. I asked myself, “is my sobriety an experiment to determine how long I can resist alcohol, or is it part of eliminating hinderances and obstacles on my path to success?”
For me, being “all in” means doing whatever it takes to achieve my goals. In my life, I know I have certain habits that are not conducive to my success, and while I am aware and proud of the amount of time I have been sober, it’s not what’s important.
What’s important is my decision to stay true to my passion and goals, even on the weekends when external pressures are strongest.
So, if you’re already “all in” and taking massive action to produce new results, F**K YEAH! Keep going!
If you aren’t “all in” yet, don’t worry, you will be. Keep seeking new information that’s in alignment with your passion and goals, and find the courage to meet your challenges head on!
Cheers to your success!
