Adapt, Conquer, Repeat.

Adapt, Conquer, Repeat.

Hey, welcome back! I hope you’ve not been the victim of too many April Fool’s Day jokes. At some point today, I’m going to have a few laughs with the kids, and I’m sure they are planning the same. Mischievous they can be at times, and surprisingly clever. My five year old son, usually put up to the task by my ten year old daughter, thinks it‘s hilarious to prank me by moving my things around or tell his rendition of a joke that neither of us understand (which is what makes it funny). I‘ll be sure to report any groundbreaking new comedy bits tomorrow!

1. Earlier this week, I mentioned that I hired a social media team to help me get that side of the business established. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. It was determined by an internal department that because I do not operate a “brick and mortar” business, my account was not serviceable. This was definitely a BIG let down. The biggest one I have encountered in business thus far. Even though I was really counting on this service to come through, I didn’t let it slow me down. I secured a professional reference and immediately made the connection. It would have been so easy to give up right there where I stood. However, because I have momentum on my side and I assume responsibility for everything does or doesn’t happen in my life, I was able to plow through that obstacle and find another provider right away. Being able to adapt and overcome challenges will be critical on your road to success. Don’t let anything stop you!

2. The concept above is also applied to my physical life. I have built a considerable amount of momentum in my diet and fitness routines by showing up everyday and choosing to eat right and “embrace the suck” (working out). Once you have momentum in this arena, you will not give it up easily. Results will compound on themselves and consequently you will begin to think, feel, and act in ways that are in alignment with your goals. Consider taking a 21 or 30 day challenge to get you started. Let it be a “before and after” experiment where you document your improvements not only physically, but mentally and professionally as well. Each of these areas will be on a collision course for improvement with a dedicated exercise and diet routine that is employed with passion and enthusiasm. If you need help getting started, reach out to me by visiting my contact page. I would be happy to guide you in the right direction!

3. As a working class guy and now entrepreneur, I have to be able to adapt with all of life’s pressures, commitments, and obligations. To have, essentially, two full time jobs is exhausting, but it’s not unmanageable. When work and life cooperate, there isn’t much struggle. I have create time to work on my business, got to work, and be a family man too. But nights like tonight, I’m grinding it out. I had to get creative with my use of time to make sure I hit all my daily goals. Today was just one of those days when time was running out fast as I had a ton of calls to make in addition to helping out around the house, working out, and completing this entry. There is only so much time in one day. But remember, the time is always now. Take action and figure it out! If you truly want to succeed, the fire inside you will drive you to adapt and conquer time and time again.

Please feel free to share a story with me when you had to adapt and overcome. Your successes are so important to me and there is a lot to learn by sharing our successes  with others. I hope enjoyed today’s content.

See you tomorrow!

Cheers to your Success!
