28 Apr Don’t Stop Until It’s Done!
Hey! Thanks for coming back! Your continued support is greatly appreciated. I look forward this part of my day and it makes me happy to know that you find my word brings you value. I want to deliver quality information that you can learn from and helps you level up and improve your life.I consider it a privilege to have your attention and the opportunity deliver you my message. Yesterday, I wrote about the importance of seeking new and supportive information. It’s imperative that we constantly monitor and filter the sources of our information to effectively block and discredit all the nonsense and negativity. Here, I’ll always deliver you knowledge that I’ve consumed myself and have deemed to be in alignment with my mission and values.
1. I recently listened to an older Tony Robbins podcast that really aligns and resonates with my current goals of eliminating negativity and finding happiness and fulfillment. During the episode, he highlighted several key times in history when notable people of today could have easily succumbed to social pressure, quit, and been otherwise forgotten. However, because of their fortitude and strength to rise above the naysayers and negativity, they have become household names like Walt Disney and Nelson Mandela. Though their accomplishments are very different, their message is very similar; believe in your dreams, don’t give in to hate, be yourself, take action, conquer your fears, and don’t stop until it’s done. These are all fundamental principles of success that when coupled with the ability to see failure as education, the impossible becomes very possible.
2. The key is dedication and persistence. Walt Disney and Nelson Mandela were effectively able to change the world by promoting their values with extreme persistence and dedication. We are all capable of becoming hyper-focused and extremely dedicated when we understand our purpose. This can be applied in a variety of ways in our daily lives. For example, I am dedicated to my fitness and strength goals and to ensure I achieve those goals I employ a strict diet. The determining factor to meet or exceed these goals is ultimately my own discipline and desire to succeed. The purpose of meeting and exceeding these goals is to achieve and maintain a greater state of health and physique. By clearly defining our mission, our desired results become attainable and predictable. Whatever it is you aim to accomplish, know your purpose and don’t stop until it’s done!
3. It takes time to comprehend and appreciate these concepts, but feeding your mind with this sort of knowledge will shorten the curve and you will quickly notice a change in your thoughts and behaviors. When we align our thoughts with our goals and become stewards of our mind, we positively affect our feelings which are directly reflected by our actions. I find loads of value in books and podcasts that offer methods to help reshape your state of mind and train your subconscious to always push you closer to your goals. It’s also important to understand that most of us have been conditioned by society to accept the status quo and become one among the masses. We must realize and accept the importance of stepping out from the crowd, and doing what’s necessary even when it seems impossible.
I encourage you to write down your goals, define your mission, and observe your thoughts. Focus on building your mind into a fortress that actively shields you from social pressures that drag you back into the crowd.
For great goal setting advice and motivation to succeed, definitely read The 10X Rule, by Grant Cardone. It’s a personal favorite of mine and I highly recommend you get a copy for yourself!
Cheers to your success!
