Sunday Wrap Up

Sunday Wrap Up

Welcome back! I hope you had a great Sunday. The weather here was rainy, but I made the best of it indoors as it was a much-needed day off! I started my morning at 05:00 am (an hour later than usual due to extended work hours) and I was productive right from the start. I have really come to enjoy the early start of the day. I find that I am more creative as a result of being rested and less distracted. By the time everyone else was waking up, I had already accomplished most of my to-do list!

1. The weekends are great for a number of reasons. For most people, it’s a designated time to rest, relax, catch up on housework, or go out and be active if you have the energy. For me, the weekends are when I really go to work on my business. I can wake up and dedicate longer portions of time to my weekly goals that will ultimately carry me through the week when there is less time to work in bulk. I know this makes it sound like I am working all the time, and to some degree, it is a lot of work, but I always block off parts of the day where I can live my normal life and be a part of my family. Today, for instance, my family and I went to my mother’s house and spent several hours just enjoying each other company. The beauty of online business is that you get to turn it on and off at your convenience. However, in order to be successful and still carry out your mostly normal life, you will need to employ strict habits like waking up early and going to bed late. The equation only has so much time to offer, and you have to decide to keep it balanced, or tip the scales and reinvent yourself outside of that equation.

2. I recently completed a book by Grant Cardone, The 10X Ruleand the call to action within its pages is truly inspirational. I often find myself mumbling, “what would Grant do?” “why wait, the time is now” “don’t settle for average”. Part of the reason why Grant lives inside my mind is largely due to the fact that I can relate to his story and I love his energy. If you already have a business and have not read Grant’s book, you need to. If you are seriously contemplating starting a business, you should also read Grant’s book. Grant’s goal-setting advice alone could be life-changing for you. If you apply his strategies to 10X your efforts and dominate your marketplace, I am confident you will always come out on top. Grant’s book coupled with Secrets of The Millionaire Mind is a surefire way to accelerate you on your own path to success and freedom.

3. As the weekend winds down and I look to the week ahead, I look forward to new challenges and implementing creative ideas to overcome and conquer anything it can throw at me. I look forward to being up early and spending time on my business before work, listening to podcasts on my commute, and completing more training in the evenings. The close of the weekend for me also means getting my diet back under control. I tend to broaden my diet’s limitations on the weekends and enjoy a few of my “forbidden“ foods. But once Monday morning comes, it’s back to eating right and drinking lots and lots of water!

To wrap up this weekend, I challenge you to read 15-20mins a day. There is an abundance of knowledge out there just waiting for you. I also challenge you to wake up 15 minutes earlier than usual and write down your goals. If they have changed, make a note of that. And whatever you do, keep taking actions that will move your closer to your goals. I do it every day. You can too!

Cheers to your success!
