28 Apr Take Control Of Your Life
Hey! Thanks for being here! I hope your week is off to a great start. Keep it up, you’re more than halfway there. I’ve had an exciting week so far and things are progressing smoothly. I recently acquired new logo concepts for my brand, and I’m also working on creating a new and more capable website. My new website will also have a ton of features that are specific to blogging and I will be able to use those tools to help improve the content I produce. This blog is very special to me and dedicated readers like you help make it possible. Sharing my journey is a privilege and I’m very happy to have you here with me!
As some of you know, I enrolled with ENTRE Institute. ENTRE institute is an online business training program focused on entrepreneurial education and strategies to succeed with online business. Throughout my time with ENTRE, I’ve found the help I need to get my life headed in the right direction. As you can see in the picture above, I’m just a normal guy. I have a slightly unique occupation, building power lines, but I get up and go to work 5 or more days a week to support my family. My life before ENTRE was pretty comfortable and just challenging enough to keep me from getting bored. However, I’m the type that’s never satisfied and always wondering if there’s something else I could be doing. But the security of my employment kept my curiosity at bay and I became complacent as a result.
I’m certainly grateful for all the things I have in my life as a product of my career and the time I have dedicated to mastering my craft. However, I’ve always known, in the back of my mind, that I didn’t want to perform manual labor for the rest of my professional life. I’ve always unconsciously known that I can’t expect new results from the same efforts. Until recently, I hadn’t acknowledged my thoughts of change and how those thoughts made me feel. I would simply dismiss any thoughts of greater fulfillment and accept my life for what it was. Looking back, I realize that I never acted on my thoughts because I never attached any emotional significance. I was content with my life, and I didn’t care enough to actually analyze my results to determine if I was living up to my greatest potential.
Once I had “the moment” when all my thoughts and feelings finally collided, I made the major realization that I couldn’t wait any longer to take control of my life and do something truly life changing. At that moment, I let go of all my non-supportive preconceived notions and accepted full responsibility for the good and bad results of my life. I declared that I would no longer consent to anything but my absolute best efforts, and that nothing would stop me from achieving true happiness. Ultimately, I want to provide the best life possible for my family and create a legacy that’s built to last. I want to teach my children to be successful, not compliant. I want to be a producer in this world and have a positive impact on everyone I encounter.
Since becoming inspired to increase my life’s potential through personal development and entrepreneurship, I have discovered that books and podcasts are an incredible resource for shaping and even rehabilitating a mind that is conditioned to be average. There is an abundance of great information available to us. We just have to look for it! I firmly believe that if you shift your focus and attention, you will find exactly what you are looking for. Once I started looking, I found mentors and a wealth of information that would take several lifetimes to digest. I’ve become obsessed with learning and uncovering the habits and mentality of the most successful people in the world. I honestly believe by learning to think, feel, and act as successful people do then success is nothing more than a choice.
I strongly encourage you to take a hard look at your life. Are you in control or are you going through the motions? What can you do today that will move you closer to your goals and reward you with true happiness? The life of your dreams is out there, you just have to start looking for it!
